Post Hangar

A creator publishing app for iPhone and Mac, from HC2 Creations LLC.

One project per video. Put the video in once, write a tailored post for YouTube, Instagram, Facebook Pages and TikTok, and schedule each one for the time you want it to go out.

Post Hangar is in development and is not yet on the App Store. No release date has been set.

What it does

01

Scheduling

Each platform's post gets its own time, in your time zone, on a calendar you can drag to reschedule. One video can go out to four places at four different times.

02

Reminders on every platform

At the scheduled time your iPhone or Mac reminds you, hands you the file and puts the right caption on your clipboard. You make the post yourself, in the platform's own app. This works on every platform and needs no account connected.

03

Automatic publishing where the platform allows it

Where a platform allows it and you have connected an account, Post Hangar publishes the post for you at the time you chose, then checks that it went live and links you to it. If the platform rejects it, you are shown the real error in plain language. Instagram publishing needs a professional account; personal accounts use reminders.

04

Large video uploads

Long videos upload in the background, in pieces, and resume where they left off if the connection drops or you put the phone away.

05

The pre-flight check

Before a scheduled post goes out, the app checks that the connection is still valid, the account is still linked, the file is still there and the post still meets that platform's rules. If anything is wrong you hear about it before the time, not after.

How it uses your platform accounts

Connecting an account is optional. Reminders work without one. When you do connect an account, the platform gives Post Hangar an access token and basic account details, which are used only to publish the posts you scheduled, to check that a post went live, and to warn you before the connection expires. Tokens are encrypted and held on our servers only; they are never sent to your devices. Disconnecting an account, or deleting your Post Hangar account, deletes its tokens. The full detail is in the Privacy Policy.

YouTube
Connect a channel and Post Hangar uploads the video you scheduled, with its title, description, tags, thumbnail and settings, to that channel at the scheduled time, then confirms it is live. It uses YouTube API Services; you can revoke access from your Google account at any time.
Instagram
Connect a professional account and Post Hangar publishes the Reel or post you scheduled to it. Personal accounts are not supported by Instagram's publishing API, so they use reminders.
Facebook Pages
Connect a Page you manage and Post Hangar publishes the video you scheduled to that Page at the scheduled time.
TikTok
Post Hangar shares a video you chose to TikTok, at your request. With a reminder, it hands the video to the TikTok app and you finish the post there. If you connect a TikTok account for direct posting, it posts the video you scheduled with the privacy setting you picked for that post. Nothing is posted that you did not choose to post.

Post Hangar never reads your feeds, never posts anything you did not schedule, and never uses your accounts for any other purpose.

The apps

Post Hangar for Mac

The macOS version. Build the project and write each platform's post at a proper keyboard, with the video coming straight from your editing machine.

Post Hangar for iPhone

The iPhone version. The same projects, kept in step with the Mac, so the reminder fires on the phone that has the platform apps on it.

Both are in development. Neither is on the App Store yet, and no release date has been set.
